To provide a gutter cover system that lives up to its promise, at a price most homeowners can afford.

Debris Guard was installed on the first home in 2001. It was developed by Larry and Alex Hurst who owned a gutter business in Peachtree City, Georgia. Installing gutter solutions to protect homeowners’ investment against water damage can be challenging in this part of country. From pine needles to pollen strings, Larry and Alex were not satisfied with the performance of the different solutions available to them. They tried a number of different gutter cover solutions from screens, to aluminum designs that slide under the shingles. Despite the manufacture claims of “clog free gutters”, the gutters were not necessarily getting clogged, but it was the gutter covers themselves which required excessive and ongoing maintenance to keep them clear of debris.

So Larry and Alex decided to do something about it. They set out to develop a gutter cover system that would do exactly what it was suppose to do…not just for the first couple of months, but for several years. So they hired Tony Waltrip, a highly respected water hydraulics’ engineer to design a clip on gutter cover solution. The combination of Tony’s water hydraulics expertise and the Hurst experience as installers, the Debris Guard solution was designed and patented.
